How to get better at Death Race
Three things that move a score in this arena specifically. If a tip would work in any game, it is not really a tip.
Watch the gap, not the car
Tracking the obstacle pulls you toward it. Fixing on the space you are aiming for steers you through it — the same principle riders and drivers are taught in the real world.
Commit early
At high speed a late correction is worse than a slightly wrong early one. Pick your lane while there is still room to be wrong.
Stay centred between moves
Sitting in the middle of your lane leaves an exit on both sides. Hugging an edge halves your options for the next gap.

It comes from the arena's seed, so every player faces the same traffic in the same order at the same speeds. The difference in scores is entirely how it was driven.
Does the speed keep increasing?
Yes — survival raises the pace, so every run eventually reaches a speed the player cannot read. Score is how far you got before that point.
