Why does Winnly check my location?
Location determines whether competitive gameplay is available in your jurisdiction. If you are in a restricted state or country, you cannot enter restricted competitions while you are there — but your account and balances remain yours.
Skill-based competitions with paid entry are regulated differently from state to state and country to country, which is why the check exists at all. The current lists of open and restricted places are published on the availability page.
Travelling does not erase anything: coins and account history stay attached to your account, and competition access follows your current location.
