Are Winnly opponents real people?

Every Winnly arena is an open competition where entrants play the same seeded board, every run can be reconstructed from its seed and inputs, and the Terms ban bots and automated play. If a result looks wrong, it can be replayed and checked — that is a stronger guarantee than a promise.

The question is fair: bot accusations are the loudest trust dispute in skill gaming — one major platform faced a US class-action lawsuit alleging computer-controlled opponents. So instead of a pledge, here is the mechanism you can reason about.

Every arena runs from a deterministic seed: all entrants get the same board, and a finished run can be reconstructed from its seed and recorded inputs. A suspicious score is therefore decidable, not arguable — report it and it can be replayed against the recording.

The Terms ban bots, macros and automated tools, and accounts are restricted for using them. How entrants end up in the same arena is covered in how arenas pick opponents.
